Advice from engineers, not a sales team

Most solar decisions are made from a quote. We think they should be made from a report. Solar Scope’s electrical and electronics engineers produce feasibility studies, payback reports and detailed designs so you know what a system will do before anyone sells you one.

Our clients are schools, retirement villages, farms, commercial building owners and landowners who want an independent view, and businesses that already have a quote and want it checked.

How the job runs

  1. Step 1 of 3

    Brief and data

You tell us the site and the goal. We collect interval data, site details and any existing quotes or designs.

  2. Step 2 of 3

    Report

A feasibility report with the options, expected savings, payback and the recommended path, written for a board or an owner to act on.

  3. Step 3 of 3

    Design and deliver

If you proceed, we produce the detailed design, lodge the approvals and manage the project through to handover.

Design and consultancy: common questions

What is in a feasibility study?

Your usage profile, the site assessment, system options with modelled production and savings, payback for each, the approvals needed and a recommendation.

Can you review a quote we already have?

Yes. We check the sizing against your data, the product selection, the warranties and the assumptions behind the savings figure, and tell you what we would change.

Do you handle the network connection application?

Yes. We prepare and lodge the application with the network company and manage the studies and agreements that follow.

What about building consent?

We assess whether the system qualifies for a consent exemption and, where the structure needs it, arrange a CPEng-qualified engineer for the assessment.

Who is doing the work?

Solar Scope is run by an electrical engineer and an electronics engineer, with Ashar Yoosef holding a Master of Engineering with research in solar PV and 18 years of electrical and electronics engineering experience.
